Hello, my name is Aryiah Kidd. I have been in the emerge360 Program for about four months now. I heard about the program from my mother, and when she told me about it, I was very interested and didn’t want to let the opportunity go to waste! So I signed up and had to do a “practice” interview at A Beautiful Me. At first, I was VERY nervous, and I felt like I couldn’t do it—I just had no confidence in myself at the time. But that’s where it all started. I pushed myself and went through with the interview, and that’s where I met Ally! I did well in the interview and was ready to start the program.
When I first met Lori Ann, she was so sweet, and she always is! She’s an amazing person to be around, and so is Ally. I was still super nervous when I started, but getting to know Lori Ann and Ally—and having them get to know me—really helped. I’ve always struggled with talking to people I don’t know, but all the training I’ve done in this program has made a big impact. I feel prouder of myself and more confident, too.
The emerge360 Program can really help shy and nervous girls like me come out of their shells, be more confident, and have more self-esteem. Everyone there is very kind and helpful. I’ve been taught so much about the store—what my role is for different tasks, good ways to communicate with customers, and how to work around the store. I learned about the dresses, donations, cleaning procedures, the backstory of The Closet, and so much more. I’ve gained so many helpful skills for later in life that I’m sure would help anyone! I can see, and others have noticed, such a boost in my confidence, all thanks to this program! I’m almost finished with 101, and I’m very excited to move on to 201!
